Group Term Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Voluntary/Supplemental AD&D Insurance
The College provides group term life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance to all benefit eligible employees (0.50 FTE position and greater) through Symetra Life Insurance Company. The amount of life insurance at any date is one and a half times the employee's annual base salary (rounded up to the next thousand), to a maximum of $200,000.
Employees also have the option to purchase Voluntary Employee/Spouse/Child life and/or Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance. Please refer to the Benefits Guidebook for coverage amounts that can be purchased and the applicable rates based on the covered members age. Enrollment in, changes to, or cancellation of these voluntary coverages can only be made at the time of hire, a qualified life event, or during the annual benefits open enrollment period.
Benefits eligible employees enrolled in Symetra Group Life and Disability Income Insurance from Symetra Life Insurance Company and First Symetra National Life Insurance Company of New York also have access to the The Symetra Value Add Program [PDF], that provides assistance for:

- identity theft assistance
- beneficiary companion program
