I work as a software engineer / computational photography scientist on the Camera Software team at Apple. We do a lot of algorithm development at the intersection of computer vision, graphics, and machine learning. Prior to Apple, I worked at Light, a startup that shipped a crazy camera with 16 individual camera modules. This technology also powered the Nokia Pureview 9 smartphone camera. I obtained my Ph.D in Computer Science at Brown University. The Math / Stats and CS experience at Swarthmore really inspired and prepared me to solve interesting problems in both research and applied settings.
