Fall 2025 Housing Selection Dates
Please review some important "save the dates" for Fall 2025 Housing Selection. Take a look at these important dates and email Housing if you have any questions
Friday, February 28th: deadline for current students who wish to request NEW or CHANGED Housing Accommodations. If you already receive official housing accommodations through Student Disability Services and you do not with to change them, you do not need to do anything to enter the housing lottery process; your accommodation approvals will roll over to next year. If you believe your accommodations need review and/or you have never been approved, you must submit a request to begin the process no later than 2/28/25. We encourage you to begin this process as soon as possible. More information, including staff contact information, can be found here.
Friday, March 14th: deadline for documentation submission to Student Disability Services
Monday, March 17th: All students who want to live in campus housing must complete the 2025-2026 Housing Agreement. You can find this Housing Agreement in your Housing portal beginning on March 17, 2025 All residential students, including RAs, SAMs, GAs, and students with accommodations must complete this form NO LATER THAN Friday, March 28th. Students who complete their housing agreement after March 28th are not guaranteed the opportunity to participate in housing selection

April 1st: All student accounts must show a $0 or positive balance on their student account to enroll and select a room for the fall semester. If you are not sure if your balance is cleared please contact StudentAccounts@swarthmore.edu
Wednesday, April 2 - Thursday, April 3: eligible students with approved Housing Accommodations who need to select outside of the lottery process will select rooms. Eligible students will be notified in March. Not all students with accommodations will need to select through the pre-selection process.
April 4th: Housing selection times available in your Housing Portal. Floor plans available in your Housing Portal in the "Preview Period Selection Process."
Monday, April 7th: Class of 2026 room selection, beginning at 4pm
Tuesday, April 8th: Class of 2027 room selection, beginning at 4pm
Thursday, April 10th: Class of 2028 room selection, beginning at 4pm
Friday, April 11th: Final Selection, beginning at 4pm. This selection is for students who were unable to pick a room during regular selection for any reason. Students will be allowed to choose any open space regardless of whether or not they can fill the room. In other words, a single student can pick a space in a double. Please understand in selecting a space in a double you will get a random roommate. Note: based on the number of spaces available by this selection period, we may cancel this selection due to too limited a supply of spaces.
Students are encouraged to visit Typical Housing by Class Year to familiarize themselves with the types and locations of rooms typical for people in their class year. Remember to look where the class year above you ended up to understand where you will likely go. In other words, Class of 2026 should look at the locations of Class of 2025, Class of 2027 should look at Class of 2026, and Class of 2028 should look at Class of 2027. Please note that updated information from 2024-2025 will be updated shortly.
Bathroom Gender Designations and Residence Hall Amenities are also helpful tools. Floor plans will be available to students participating in room selection in the Housing Portal during the preview and selection periods. Please note that updated information from 2024-2025 will be updated shortly.
