- What's new with our residence halls?
We are excited about the upgrades and changes we are making in the residence halls. Barring any unforeseen issues such as slowed supply chains, students can look forward to the following updates by fall move-in.
Crum Ledge: the Crum Ledge community will open in the Fall 2025. Crum Ledge is located behind the Ware pool building, and overlooks the Crum Woods and Crum Creek. Each unit (8 total units) includes two singles and two doubles. Most units will be selected as a 'block' but a few units will be available during the Class Year Housing Lottery
David Kemp: Say goodbye to keys, because DK is getting OneCard room readers this summer. It will also get interior fixture enhancements and commons space updates.
Lodges: The Lodges returned to room selection for Fall of 2024, but we must again take them offline for Fall 2025. This is in anticipation of significant residence hall work, including digging underneath the Lodges, happening at some point in the 2025-2026 academic year. If those plans are delayed we will offer the space to students for room changes over the summer. At this time, because we cannot confirm that construction will not be happening, we cannot offer these rooms in blocking or lottery.
Wharton: During the Summer of 2025, the College will complete year 2 of a 3-year renovation project. Students will notice new windows and corridor enhancements when they return in the Fall of 2025.
Worth Residence Hall: Due to potential for significant renovation and construction work at some point in the 2025-2026 academic year, Worth I, J or K will not be available in the room selection process. If plans change and we are able to allow Worth I, J or K to be available for Fall housing, we will offer it to students for room changes in the summer.
- What's new with room selection?
In terms of receiving your housing lottery number, you will start fresh each year that you go through the lottery process. This means that the lottery number you receive this year has no impact on the lottery number you may receive next year. You have the same statistical chances of getting any lottery number each year.
As in 2024-2025, NPPR blocks will only be open to rising seniors. Crum Ledge blocks will also only be open to rising seniors.
As our housing stock increases each year and residence hall renovations continue, more students with approved disability housing accommodations will be able to participate in the Class Year Housing Lottery process, as opposed to pre-selection. Most seniors with housing accommodations and many juniors with housing accommodations will participate in the lottery tied to their class year. Some juniors and most sophomores who receive housing accommodations will participate in the pre-selection process.
What's New: Fall 2025 Housing
We want the housing selection process to be transparent with everyone being able to see what is available in real time as well as give as much autonomy as possible to empower students to pick a space that feels right for them. We recognize that housing selection may look different year to year, as our housing stock and class sizes change. In addition, the College's commitment to residence hall renewal means that some buildings will not be available for room selection each year. We have some great things happening to our buildings for Fall 2025
