Carebridge Employee Assistance Program
Carebridge Specialists provide guidance and resources to support parents and other caretakers in nurturing each child's growth and development. Carebridge Specialists have extensive experience in the areas of parenting and child care and can provide the essential resources and direction to make informed decisions on matters affecting a child's well-being. During this unique and challenging time, Carebridge can assist parents in finding resources that are available within their geographic area.
Carebridge can be reached at 1-800-437-0911, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Faculty and staff members can work with a Carebridge Specialist to identify resources for:
- In-home childcare
- Childcare and daycare centers
- Nanny services
- Tutoring services
- Remote learning support
Carebridge services are available at no cost to benefits eligible faculty and staff members, though services arranged through Carebridge may incur a charge from providers.
Working Parents Employee Resources Group
The Swarthmore Working Parents Employee Resource group brings together parents of children of any age to build a social and professional network, to share resources, and to lift up specific needs of Swarthmore College working parents. The group serves both faculty and staff members by cultivating the working parents community, providing learning opportunities on a variety of topics, and facilitating the sharing of ideas and resources.
To be added to the working parents group email list, please email Michelle Crouch, assistant director of sponsored programs, at mcrouch1@swarthmore.edu. The full working parent group can be contacted at: workingparents@swarthmore.edu. You can learn more about ERGs here.
Bright Horizons Back-up Care, Child Care, and Elder Care Services
Swarthmore College faculty and staff members have access to day-of back-up care options at local partner centers, for when unanticipated child care needs arise. Faculty and staff members will be able to use Bright Horizons’ services at network centers at a cost of $15 per dependent, per day, or $25 per family, per day, and $6 per hour for in-home care. These low rates are available as the College is supplementing the cost of care for our employees.
Community members enjoy discounts at Bright Horizons participating child care centers, and preferred enrollment at select centers. Please note that discounts vary by center.
