Almost 20,000 Swarthmore alumni are active, global citizens who are ready to connect with students and graduates. Many alumni are engaged with students through the Career Services Office, participating in networking dinners, mentoring students in SwatTank (an annual innovation incubator), acting as workplace mentors for students in the extern program, linking Swatties with internships, or recruiting students for open positions at their organizations.
Sonal Bhatia ’02, a trial lawyer for employees' rights at Keenan & Bhatia LLC in New York City, recently mentored Julia Gokhberg ’19. “Julia provided us with fresh perspectives,” says Bhatia. “Among her efforts was creating a comprehensive timeline for a disability discrimination case, which made it clearer and more concise for us.”
