Chemistry Department Alum Named President of Kenyon College

Sean Decatur '90 will be Kenyon College's next president, effective July 1, 2013. At Swarthmore, Sean Decatur majored in Chemistry and completed a senior thesis under the direction of Bob Pasternack, who is the Edmund Allen Professor of Chemistry, Emeritus and currently a Senior Research Scholar at Swarthmore. Upon his graduation from Swarthmore, Sean was awarded the Chemistry Department's highest academic award (American Chemical Society Award).
