Alumni Story: Jack M. Nicoludis '12
Jack Nicoludis graduated High Honors from Swarthmore College in 2012 with a major in Biochemistry. While at Swarthmore he earned many honors including a Goldwater Scholarship, Phi Beta Kappa and an ACS Scholastic Achievement Award. Jack was exceptionally productive during his time as Swarthmore where he worked in Professor Liliya Yatsunyk’s laboratory. His undergraduate research led to five different co-authored publications. Notably, he was a first author on a paper published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society. (For details see the Yatsunyk lab website. Following Swarthmore, Jack joined the PhD. Program in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University. As a first year graduate student he was awarded both a NSF Graduate Fellowship and NDSEG Graduate Fellowship from the Department of Defense. After receiving his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Chemistry and Chemical Biology in 2018 from Harvard, he went to the University of California-San Francisco as a postdoctoral fellow.
