Melissa Rose ’95

Melissa Rose ’95 is the associate director of pediatrics with Tiburcio Vásquez Health Center, a provider of multicultural and linguistically appropriate health care and related services. She joined the practice in 2015. In addition to her medical practice, her areas of focus include addressing health disparities and early childhood literacy. Previously, she was a physician at Open Door Family Medical Center in Greenwich, Conn., and River Valley Pediatrics in Scarsdale, N.Y. 

Rose is a member of Swarthmore’s Council on Presidential Initiatives (CPI) and previously volunteered as a Reunion Committee member and an Admissions interviewer. 

Rose graduated with a B.A. in biology from Swarthmore in 1995 and earned an M.D. from Tulane University in 1999 and an MPH from the University of Pittsburgh in 2000.
