Residence Hall Room Door Card Reader Instructions

Currently, the PPR Apartments, Roberts Hall, Parrish Hall, Alice Paul, Mary Lyon and Mertz Hall are enabled with OneCard access at the room level.  The following instructions will explain how to unlock and lock your room door. 

Unlock Your Door

If the door is closed and locked, present your OneCard to the reader and the light will turn green. This will leave the door in an unlocked state until you lock it. If the door is locked and you are inside your room, opening the door will unlock the door and leave it in an unlocked state until you lock it.

Lock Your Door

If the door is unlocked, you can present your OneCard to the reader and the light will turn red. This will leave the door in a locked state. If you are in your room with the door closed, you can press the lock/unlock button and the door will be put into a locked state.
