Development of the Initiative
In Spring 2020, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Office, as a part of the Inclusive Leadership Strategic Planning Initiative, collaborated with the Diversity Peer Advisor (DPA) Program leadership to re-imagine the overall program toward a DEI project-constructed model. Working together, Shá Duncan Smith, Assistant Vice President and Dean of Inclusive Excellence and Community Development; Michelle D. Ray, Associate Dean and Director of Case Management; and Deja Miguest conceived and created the Inclusive Excellence Fellows Initiative as the resulting re-imagined program.
