Alumni Gospel Choir's 50th Anniversary
1971 and beyond
In preparation for the Golden Anniversary of the Swarthmore College Alumni Gospel Choir in 2021, we will kick off a yearlong celebration beginning with a concert on March 28, 2020 in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of the Black Cultural Center and the College’s academic year of Celebrating Black Excellence: Honoring our Past, Imagining our Futures.
Help us celebrate the end of an era and celebrate the possibilities of the next fifty years.
Other events will include
- Trip to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands for a memorial concert
- CD recording of our greatest hits
- Farewell concert in 2021, honoring our retiring Artistic Director, musician, instructor, and dedicated leader Vaneese Thomas '74, H'14

Sing with us
Rehearsals for the March 2020 concert begin Saturday, Feb. 22. Pre-registration is requested.
