Accessibility Task Force
Leadership for the ICT Accessibility Task Force is provided by the Office of the President. As the task force will address the accessibility of all information and communication technology campus-wide, it includes membership from a wide variety of campus departments and stakeholders including but not limited to:
- Provost
- Information Technology Services
- Library
- Office of Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity
- Communications
- Student Disability Services
- Technology Accessibility Coordinator
- General Counsel
- ADA Program Manager
- Equal Opportunity and Engagement
- Human Resources
- Faculty
The task force may form sub-task forces or other working teams with members and/or other stakeholders as needed, as it develops and manages strategies for Swarthmore College, regarding:
- Communication and awareness
- Education and training
- Assessment and evaluation protocols
- Subdivisions of technology access, e.g.:
- Instructional materials
- Procurement of software, hardware, and systems
- Web
- Documents (non-instructional)
- Technical support
- Media (non-instructional)
- Approval of campus ICT accessibility standards, best practices, and resource information proposed by the Technology Accessibility Coordinator;
- Reviewing and granting any exceptions to this Policy or the ICT Accessibility Standards;
- Determining the content and frequency of trainings;
- Periodically reviewing and update this Policy and the ICT Accessibility Standards
