The following summer she interned with Shared Interest, a socially responsible investing firm in New York and worked with their partner organization in South Africa to develop a new impact monitoring system and to upgrade their metrics; she also researched issues impacting the social investment fund for community development in South Africa and investigated potential sources of loan capital and grant funding.
