What impact do you want to have on the world?
I want to help empower people who don't have the full resources to do so themselves.
Name a person you admire.
Elon Musk
What is something you are proud of in your life so far?
I have struggled when I'm exposed to a new academic environment, whether it be middle school or college. I'm proud of the fact that I have always been able to find a rhythm that works for me in order to eventually succeed in the new setting.
What have been the most valuable Evans Scholars program experiences for you?
The Outward Bound trip we took before freshman fall was one of the valuable experiences for me. A camping trip is nothing I would ever sign myself up for. However, I learned how to face my fears on the trip as well as build close relationships with the other Evans in my year.
What was the most transformative class you have taken and/or what subjects do you want to explore deeply?
Math 028S my freshman fall was the most transformative class I've taken. The class was a math seminar that centered around us students presenting our work to the class. It improved my proof abilities, my ability to talk in a public setting, as well as being able to accept criticism for my work. It was a whole different type of mathematics than I was exposed to in high school, and it truly made my appreciate the subject a lot more.
