Watch: Morality and Evolution

In the third symposium about The Righteous Mind, held on February 12, 2013, Professor of Psychology  Frank Durgin, Assistant Professor of Biology Vince Formica, Howard A. Schneiderman Professor Emeritus of Biology Scott Gilbert, and Henry C. and Charlotte Turner Professor of Philosophy Hans Oberdiek discussed the concepts of evolution and biological phenomena in Jonathan Haidt's book. Dorwin P. Cartwright Professor of Social Theory and Social Action Barry Schwartz served as the panel's moderator.

The Rightetous Mind events have been made possible with funding and administrative support from the Swarthmore College Institute for the Liberal Arts. The Institute aims to foster curricular, pedagogical, and scholarly innovation; to engage in generative thinking about the future of the liberal arts and higher education; and to facilitate conversations between liberal arts institutions and those who live liberal arts lives.
