Private Lessons, not for credit
Many students at Swarthmore College take lessons privately, independent of the Music 48 program. The department is happy to refer students to appropriate teachers, and to provide practice rooms, but no academic credit or subsidy is available for those lessons.
Student Clubs and Organizations
The Student Activities Office maintains a list of student organizations that may be of interest to students with vocal and instrumental talents, or those who enjoy listening to music. A cappella groups are particularly popular on campus.
