I'm a graduate student at MIT, where I specialize in Antarctic ice flow. I build physical models (using quite a bit of math!) to understand why Antarctic glaciers are accelerating and losing mass so rapidly. While I was always interested in climate change and environmental issues, Swarthmore really brought out a love of math in me - thanks to Professor Deb Bergstrand, Professor Lynne Schofield, and Professor Victor Barranca, who all taught me the power of math to understand the world around us.
