The Swarthmore Libraries Internship offers an introduction to library & information science, promoting the American Library Association's values of Equity, Diversity + Inclusion through weekly seminars and field trips.
CiLIS - Careers in Library and Information Science is a multi-institutional week-long immersive to explore connections between librarianship, career options, and pressing social issues.
Lib Lab Fellows: an interdisciplinary opportunity exploring the theory and praxis of digital environments. Students learn web development while engaging emerging issues in technology and society.
The Moore Student Fellowship supports research on a topic of your choice in the Friends Historical Library or Peace Collection. Recipients receive $500 to spend one week in the collections.
The UX Internship is designed for students interested in UX (user experience design) and UI (user interface design.) Interns learn to ethically conduct user research and web usability studies for the Libraries' spaces, services, and online presences, including the Libraries' website, Tripod, and other web platforms. Throughout the year and at the end of each study, Interns present their research findings and recommendations to library leadership and other stakeholders. The year long internship culminates with an independent research project in the Spring semester.
