In 2023, Danika Grieser ‘26 and Harry Hou ‘25 were one of five winners of the Debating for Democracy (D4D) “Letter to an Elected Official” competition for their letter to the Honorable Jared Solomon, proposing a legislative amendment to end PA closed primaries. They continue to lead Students for Ballot PA, and with support of the $500 grant, the team rallied with Representative Solomon and other speakers, followed by individual lobby meetings at the Pennsylvania state capitol building on October 16, 2023.
