Cayuse Human Ethics (HE)
Beginning March 1, 2022, the Office of Research Integrity and Engagement began utilizing the web-based product Cayuse Human Ethics for review and ongoing management of research studies involving human subjects. Cayuse Human Ethics (HE) is an electronic protocol management platform that is cloud-based, user-friendly, and secure, using Swarthmore SSO.
This system will be used by the Office of Sponsored Programs, the Business Office, the Office of Research Integrity and Engagement and researchers, in creating a holistic record which we expect will decrease administrative burdens and increase efficiency and necessary compliance associated with research administration.
Cayuse Human Ethics will be used to prepare and submit all initial human subjects research studies, as well as make modifications, submit continuing reviews, and report incidents.
