Sustainable Capital Planning and Project Management

Facilities Sustainable Capital Planning and Project Management is responsible for campus planning, capital planning, facilities information management, and project management at Swarthmore. The staff, headed by Juan Viera, works closely with Maintenance, Environmental Services and Grounds to implement plans in a way that is sustainable, cost-effective, and consistent with the context and history of the College.

Swarthmore College supports environmentally-conscious design and construction. The number of sustainably-produced materials and products is increasing rapidly, as the sustainability movement continues to transform the design and construction industry. The College welcomes input from design professionals about innovative materials and products which support sustainability.
