Faculty works are seen in regional, national, and international venues such as: The Painted Bride Arts Center and the International House in Philadelphia, Joe's Pub and the Joyce SoHo in New York City, the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., and at international festivals in Poland, France, India, and the United Kingdom.
Much choreographic and written scholarship involves faculty in collaborative work with artists in other fields both within the U.S. and abroad. Dance faculty at Swarthmore are also active in professional organizations such as the Congress on Research in Dance, Society of Dance History Scholars, The International Baccalaureate Organization, and the International Association of Blacks in Dance. They help organize symposia, conferences and concerts, serve on boards of directors, write internationally focused dance curricula, and work as editors and writers for proceedings and journals in the field.
