Spring 2025 Events and Workshops
DBT Skills Drop-In Group
In this hands-on skills group, we will learn and practice tools for managing difficult emotions and tolerating distress. Each session will tackle at least one new set of skills. This is a drop-in group, and although you are not required to attend every group session, we encourage that you attend as many as possible. Every skill does not work for every person or every situation, so the more skills you know, the more resources you will have when big emotions and events come up!
Select Tuesdays from 5PM to 6PM at CAPS (in the Student Health and Wellness Center)
- 2/5 -- Emotion Regulation: Changing Emotional Responses
- 2/19 -- Emotion Regulation: Reducing Vulnerability to Negative Emotions
- 3/26 -- Emotion Regulation: Managing Difficult Emotions
- 4/9 -- Distress Tolerance: Crisis Survival, Part 1
- 4/23 -- Distress Tolerance: Crisis Survival, Part 2
- 5/7 -- Distress Tolerance: Accepting Reality
