“Swarthmore is where I first felt completely able to be myself. It nurtured me not only academically but also socially, culturally and politically. 500 College Avenue is where I met my best friends. It is also where I pinpoint learning to think laterally; to be unafraid of asking questions; where I worked harder than I ever had before, got things wrong, and recognized I wasn't the smartest person in the room. I wouldn't have the career I find so fulfilling today without the Honors program having taught me to think critically, shape my ideas fully and express them passionately.”
