W.H. Auden Collection

W.H. Auden served as a faculty member of the English department (1942-1945) and received an honorary doctorate from Swarthmore in 1964. This collection contains the handwritten "Manuscript Notebook or Poems, Sept. 1932-34," first editions, notes and charts designed for his English courses, photographs, recordings of readings, drawings and other ephemera from his time as a faculty member, and his typewriter.
