The Dining Center

The Dining Center is Swarthmore’s new full service dining hall, a place where our community gathers to dine together. The Dining Center offers a delicious and varied selection of fresh, locally sourced food as well as gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options at every meal. The Dining Center is part of the College's Dining and Community Commons project.

Faculty, staff, and guests may dine at the Dining Center.
Take out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reusable container program is available. Exact change, check or credit card are accepted. Starting 7/1/24 the prices are:
Breakfast: $9.50
Lunch: $13.50
Dinner: $17.50
Children 5 and under are 1/2 price.
The Dining Center is a tray-less facility, which will help save an average 22,000 gallons of water per year and reduce the amount of chemicals going into the waste stream. Once you have finished dining with us, please take your items to the dish drop. Simply put your silverware on the conveyor below and leave everything other than single-use packaging on your plate, which will travel to our composting area.

Essie's Corner

Essie Mae's closed at the end of the Spring 2024 semester and Essie’s Corner opened in the Dining and Community Commons on Monday, June 10.

Essie’s Corner offers a quick and seamless dining experience, with a fresh-to-order menu of healthy sandwiches and grain bowls and a marketplace of snacks and prepared items. Dining Dollars, Swat Points, Garnet Cash, and credit cards are accepted at Essie's Corner.

Kohlberg Coffee Bar

Kohlberg Coffee Bar serves locally roasted coffee and espresso, chai and organic teas, juices, sodas and smoothies. Our pastries, bagels and pretzels are locally baked daily, and we carry a variety of candies and snacks. For lunch, enjoy our homemade soups, delicious sandwiches and salads, and a selection of Indian dishes delivered hot from a local restaurant. Kohlberg Coffee Bar is open to the public and accepts cash, credit cards, Dining Dollars, Swat Points and Garnet Cash.

Kohlberg Coffee Bar offers Grab-N-Go lunches from 11:30 to 1:45. You must reserve your meal on the G.E.T. Cbord App. Place your order as early as possible in order to secure the choice you would like. Summer closed.

Science Center Cafe

The Science Center Cafe features locally roasted coffee and espresso as well as seasonal hot apple cider, organic teas, chai, hot cocoa, sodas, and iced-blended drinks. We also offer a wide assortment of baked goods and candies. Lunch features freshly made sandwiches, salads, and soup, and fresh sushi and Chinese food options are delivered daily from a local restaurant. The Science Center Coffee Bar accepts cash, credit cards, Dining Dollars, Swat Points, and Garnet Cash.
