Tia Newhall
Associate Professor of Computer Science
Professor Newhall is an authority on parallel and distributed systems with a focus on providing system-level support for cluster computing through network swapping. Her other research interests include memory management systems for SMPs (shared multiprocessors) and performance measurement of interpreted, and dynamically compiled programs.
She has presented at several international conferences and written on these topics in numerous professional publications including the Euro-Par International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Computing; the ACM Technical Symposium on Computer Science Education; Concurrency, Practice and Experience; and IEEE Computer.
Professor Newhall received a B.S.-SED, M.S., and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
