Class of 2014 Celebrates Senior Week
The final hurrah before Commencement is underway for the Class of 2014, as students are in the midst of Senior Week.
Organized by the Dean's Office, Senior Week events take place on and off campus and provide Swarthmore's graduating class one final chance to have fun together before Commencement. Events range from the formal, such as a gala in Sharples Dining Hall, to the completely improvised, such as a slip n slide on Parrish Beach.
Early-week highlights included a trip a Philadelphia Phillies game that featured a no-hitter by Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Josh Beckett and the annual viewing of The Graduate on Parrish Beach. Other events include a campfire in the Crum, tubing on the Brandywine Creek, and trips to Adventure Aquarium, Six Flags, Longwood Gardens, and Atlantic City.
Senior Week concludes on Friday afternoon just prior to Last Collection with brunch at Dean Liz Braun's house and a carnival on Parrish Beach open to all friends and family.
