Navin and Michelle attended the Thomas Jefferson University Sigma Xi Research day in Philadelphia, PA, on April 17, 2013. Michelle presented a poster entitled Synthesis and preliminiary characterization of polyamide derivatives of protoporphyrin-IX and mesoporphyrin-IX, and Navin presented a poster called N-methyl mesoporphyrin-IX as a sensitive reporter of strand orientation in guanine quadruplexes.
Jack received NSF Graduate Fellowship and NDSEG Graduate Fellowship from the Department of Defense in March 2013. Now he has to choose.
