Howard Invited to Present M2 Data at BSDF Conference in Nashville, TN
The "Biomolecular Structure, Dynamics, and Function: Membrane Proteins" organized by the Center for Structural Biology at Vanderbilt University was held in Nashville Tennessee May 2-4, 2014. Funds for the meeting came from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences. Kathleen Howard was invited to present the Howard group's work on the conformation and dynamics of the M2 protein influenza A protein. The presentation focused on CW and pulsed EPR data that demonstrate that M2 adopts multiple conformational states in bilayers, and that cholesterol content dictates the relative populations of the states.
