Nearly 900 parents, families, and alumni joined students, faculty, and staff to celebrate Swarthmore's third annual Garnet Homecoming and Family Weekend. This festive fall event showcases the rich variety of life at Swarthmore--from academic offerings and athletics contests to social gatherings where the entire College community comes together to meet and mingle.

This weekend's highlights include:

·      Inauguration of the Garnet Athletics Hall of Fame, established to commemorate exceptional accomplishments in athletics

·      Annual McCabe Lecture, delivered this year by Christopher Edley, Jr. '73, dean, UC-Berkeley Boalt School of Law 

·      Wet, wacky, and wonderful Crum Regatta, a Swarthmore tradition

Be sure to mark your calendars for Garnet Weekend 2013, which will be held from Friday, Oct. 4 through Sunday, Oct. 6.  Swarthmore will announce lodging information for the event in August 2013. Registration will begin after Labor Day.
