School Placement: Student Responsibilities

  1. 1. Confirm directions to school with web or with a telephone call. Review your route on a map.
  2. 2. Note that public transportation schedules change. You can check for route changes and advisories on the web. http://www.septa.org/
  3. 3. Check to make sure the school is open for all your placement times. Schools may be closed for breaks, holidays and meetings. Remind your teacher that you will not be present Swarthmore Break week.
  4. 4. Check your school closing number in case of inclement weather.
  5. 5. Please note the first and last name of your teacher with correct spelling. You will be asked to provide this information to your professor by your seventh class session.

Transportation Reimbursement Policy

If you are taking public transportation, please save all receipts, which you will paper clip to your Reimbursement for Transportation Form that will be distributed at the end of the semester in your class. Receipts are not required if you are taking bus transportation. Fill out the form where highlighted, including information requested on the back and bring or send to the Educational Studies office, 221 Pearson Hall.

If you are driving a car, total your miles on the back of the form. You will be reimbursed according to the current reimbursement rate up to a certain limit. If you drive other students, know that your personal insurance must cover your passengers.

Bryn Mawr and Haverford students should check with their college dean for obtaining reimbursements.
