LPAC and the Pearson-Hall Theatre
The dance program at Swarthmore is housed in the state-of-the-art Eugene and Theresa Lang Performing Arts Center which opened in 1991. The dance program facilities in LPAC include the Troy Dance Lab, Boyer Dance Studio, Pearson-Hall Theatre, Frear Ensemble Theater, costume and set construction shops, a media services department, and faculty offices. Each semester students have the opportunity to perform in the 350-700 seat Pearson-Hall Theatre on a variable thrust/proscenium stage which is fully equipped with the latest lighting and sound equipment.
The Underhill Performing Arts Library is in the Lang Music Building, adjacent to the Lang Performing Arts Center. The library houses an extensive collection of dance books, journals, videos, and DVD material.
