Historian and activist Rebecca Hall ’85 will visit Swarthmore for a discussion of her book, Wake: The Hidden History of Women-Led Slave Revolts. Wake is a graphic novel that explores the history of enslaved Black women by painstakingly deciphering primary sources in order to document hidden histories of courage and resistance
