Tickets

Tickets are required to attend Commencement in the Scott Amphitheater. Each graduate will be eligible to receive four guest tickets to distribute as they wish. 

Distribution of tickets

Commencement tickets will be distributed to students at  rehearsal on Friday, May 19 at 2 p.m. in the Scott Amphitheater (rain location is the Eugene and Theresa Lang Performing Arts Center).

As you might be aware, space in the amphitheater is limited and extra tickets may not be available. If you would like to enter the lottery for additional tickets, please have your student graduate send an e-mail request to tixfor2017@swarthmore.edu. If you send the e-mail, please indicate the name of your student graduate along with your name. Our capacity for additional seating in the amphitheater will be determined in the first half of the spring semester. Please note, at that time, we may be able to make a very limited number of additional tickets available to seniors through this lottery. More information regarding the lottery will be provided to seniors in the spring semester. 

If you are not going to use all four tickets, we hope you will return the extras so they can be distributed to others. To do so, please respond to tixfor2017@swarthmore.edu with the number of tickets you will not need.

Please note: A simultaneous, high quality telecast of the graduation ceremony can also be viewed in the air-conditioned comfort of the Lang Performing Arts Center, the Scheuer Room, and other campus spaces. These spaces will not require tickets.

In the event of rain, tickets are needed for Baccalaureate in the Lang Performing Arts Center and seniors will be given the tickets with their senior packet in April.
