Exon Interview Revived Fond Memories
It was so heartwarming to read about my dear teacher Randy Exon [professor of studio art] in the July Bulletin. Even though I was an engineering major at Swarthmore, the fondest memories I have are of the painting classes I had with him. Those classes had a “Magic Garden” quality to them. The minute we walked through the studio door where Randy held his classes, we were transported to a world of wonders, very similar to the worlds of his beautiful paintings. His pleasant personality and humor, in addition to his quality instruction, made our group bond and feel like a family. Today, the walls of my home are covered with the paintings that were born during those wonderful days, keeping those magical days alive in my memory. Thank you, Randy!
