Yolande Erickson ’77
Yolande Erickson ’77 recently received the prestigious Jack J. Skirball Community Justice Award from Bet Tzedek Legal Services, a premier public-interest law firm based in Los Angeles. As an attorney with Bet Tzedek, Erickson is a member of the firm’s elder rights practice and is an internationally recognized expert in conservatorship law. She has been instrumental in the practice’s Family Matters project, which helps families with intellectually disabled young adults as they reach legal age. She also helped create Bet Tzedek’s Transitions project to address the legal and social needs of intellectually disabled individuals and their aging caregivers.
