Alumni gathered at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Ackland Art Museum to hear Curator of Collections Timothy Riggs ’64 (right), discuss the current exhibit At the Heart of Progress: Coal, Iron, and Steam Since 1750Industrial Imagery from the John P. Eckblad Collection. This remarkable and timely exhibition, explores the dramatic tensions between human progress and the toll taken by use of coal, iron, and steam. Priscilla Coit Murphy ’67 organized the special event for alumni in the Triangle area.
