Atlanta: The Swarthmore College Atlanta Connection participated in a Swarthmore Cares service event on Saturday, Nov. 24, packaging meals at Project Open Hand, an organization that delivers healthy meals to ill people in the local community.
New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.: The Swarthmore Business Network organized simultaneous events in November. Tucson and Denver: Ken Sharpe, William R. Kenan Jr. Professor of Political Science, was in Tucson Jan. 9 and Denver Jan. 16 to discuss Practical Wisdom, which he co-wrote with Barry Schwartz, Dorwin P. Cartwright Professor of Social Theory and Social Action.
Los Angeles: Former Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis ’55 and Richter Professor of Political Science Carol Nackenoff discussed the presidential election with alumni, parents, and friends Jan. 14.
