Alan Lloyd ’51—Honored Engineer Alan Lloyd ’51 received the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hawaii Council of Engineering Societies. In his 43 years as an engineer, Lloyd identified ways to improve his customers’ operations and profitability, and he achieved the prestigious grade of ASHRAE Fellow from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers. He retired in 1996 as the Hawaiian Electric Co.’s executive staff engineer.
