Tex Wyndham ’58—Ragtime Honoree Tex Wyndham ’58 received a lifetime achievement award from the Scott Joplin International Ragtime Foundation, the highest honor in ragtime music, at the annual Scott Joplin Ragtime Festival in Sedalia, Mo., last summer. Wyndham is one of the country’s best-known ragtime and Dixieland jazz musicians, having performed on the national festival and cruise circuit since 1968. A widely recognized authority on ragtime and Dixieland music, Tex has authored articles, reviews and a book; has made more than 30 recordings; and teaches two Road Scholar programs each year on the subject.
