Many Branches

After reading “Deeply Rooted” (winter 2017), I remembered how my grandmother used to laugh about how my uncle Robert Miller Stabler ’27 could study even with the radio on. (He was the brother of Laurence, who was married to Sarah Stabler ’22, featured in the photo.) He later got his doctorate, and he and his wife did important research in ornithology, isolating a bird disease.
