Jimin ’24

Jimin ’24 was born in South Korea but grew up in Saudi Arabia. She is pursuing a special major in psychology and educational studies on the pre-law track. Outside of academics, she is currently a research assistant in the Education Department, Head Tour Guide, Senior Admissions Fellow, and Resident Advisor.

Tianyue (Emma) ’24

Tianyue (Emma) ’24 is from Hangzhou, China. She is a prospective honors special major in sociology, anthropology and educational studies with an honors minor in art history. She is passionate about using engaged humanities and art to bring more personal and social transformations. On campus, she is a research assistant for the Economics Department and an Engaged Humanities Studio Fellow at the Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility. She is also involved in campus dance culture including a student-run dance club and multiple dance courses. In the past, she worked as a TA for the Physics Department and served as a board member for international student community (i20). “I took a gap year after my sophomore year and got some experiences in a nonprofit organization, venture capital firm, and tech startups.”

Prince ’25

Prince ’25 is from Buchanan, Liberia. He is majoring in medical anthropology and considering a double major in biology. Prince is an Inclusive Excellence Fellow, leading a belonging and mental health project to assess issues of belonging and mental health in the Swarthmore campus community. He is also a green advisor (GA). In the fall, Prince was co-director of new student orientation, helping to plan the matriculation of Swarthmore's Class of 2026. He enjoys working on the board of i20 (Swarthmore's international student group) to plan events for international students. He is also part of the soccer club and the current campus director for "Our Arts Spoken In Soul" - a spoken word poetry group serving students of all backgrounds who are interested in the arts. He did cognitive science research in summer 2022 and is currently a researcher in the neurobiology lab. "I am learning and experiencing a lot in this amazing space."

Alice ’24

Alice ’24 grew up in New Haven, CT, USA but has spent the last eight years of her life in Suzhou, China. She is an honors double major in economics and biology. On campus, she is passionate about sustainability, entrepreneurship, and fostering connections between the international Chinese community and ABCs like herself. She was a President's Sustainability Research Fellow (PSRF) and is currently continuing as a senior PSRF on a new project on embodied carbon. In terms of entrepreneurship, she's building a few exciting things and is working towards improving the startup scene within liberal arts colleges. She is the co-president of Swarthmore Chinese Society (SCS), a member of the stem cell lab, and a varsity women's badminton member.

Kelvin ’24

Kelvin ’24 is from Accra, Ghana. He is a double major in computer science and economics or mathematics. Outside of academics, he is the events organizer and treasurer for the Swarthmore African Students Association (SASA), an organization whose aim is to foster community among Africans and students interested in learning about African culture. He is also a Student Employment Office co-director for the Financial Aid Office, helping students, especially international students, navigate how to find jobs and work legally on campus.

Aarushi ’24

Aarushi ’24 is from Singapore. She is a computer science major. Outside of academics, Aarushi is a member of Rhythm and Motion (a bi-co African dance group), is involved in theater productions on campus and is the former co-operations manager of the international student club, i20. Aarushi loves her job as a teaching assistant in the computer science and physics departments. “I came to Swarthmore undecided about my major, so if you are in the same boat, you can explore your academic interests at Swarthmore!"

Emily ’25

Emily ’25 is from Shanghai, China. She is a double major in psychology and economics. Outside of the classroom, you can catch Emily grooving hip hop moves in the Troy Dance Lab, belting a C6 in a music practice room, or working out in the gym. As the co-president of the international student club (i20), Emily is passionate about strengthening the multicultural presence at Swarthmore and bridging the international community with the larger campus. She is also a project lead at Swarthmore's branch of 180 Degree Consulting; a music-lover who is in an a cappella group and a tri-co hip hop dance group; and a tour guide for the Admissions Office!
