Associate Professor of Music John Alston began the Chester Children's Chorus 16 years ago with a handful of students. Now with more than 100 current members, plus the dozens more who have taken what they learned from their chorus experience to pursue their academic and artistic dreams, its legacy of changing lives - most recently described in the Philadelphia Inquirer and recognized by the Marie Whitaker Humanitarian Award from the Media [Pa.] Fellowship House - seems assured.

That legacy will be on full display in a series of upcoming spring concerts that feature a program of English madrigals and a selection of R&B tunes from the Temptations and Supremes.  One of the performances will take place on campus Sat., May 8, at 8 p.m. in the Lang Concert Hall.
