Board adds new members
In May, several alumni were appointed to the College’s Board of Managers.
There are five new term managers. S. Leslie Jewett ’77 is chief financial officer of California First National Bancorp, president and director at California First National Bank. June Rothmann Scott ’61 is a recently retired professor and chair of the microbiology and immunology department at Emory University in Atlanta. Davia Temin ’74, president and CEO of Temin and Co., a public relations firm in Manhattan, was a special adviser to the Swarthmore president in 1994 and served on the Board from 1995 to 1998. Harold “Koof” Kalkstein ’78 is the retired managing director of Boston Consulting Group and founder of its global energy practice. He was a Board member from 2009 to 2012 and served on the Alumni Council from 2004 to 2006. Salem Shuchman ’84, the founder and managing partner at Entrepreneur Partners LLC, a private equity firm in Philadelphia, served on the Board from 2000 to 2012.
There are two new alumni managers. Robert Steelman ’92 is a senior investment analyst with CIFC Corp., one of the world’s largest specialized asset managers of senior secured corporate loans. He is in his fifth year on Alumni Council. Danielle Moss Lee ’90, the CEO of the YMCA of the City of New York and an adjunct professor at City College of New York, served for three years on Alumni Council. David Ko ’92, president of the Alumni Council, will serve as an ex officio member of the Board for two years. A resident of San Mateo, Calif., Ko is a group product manager at Shutterfly.
