Small Changes, First Steps
I want to commend Swarthmore and the staff of the Bulletin for making your magazine more environmentally friendly. Relatively simple steps such as reducing page count and increasing page width can amount to a big difference in the long-term environmental impact of the publication. Reflecting on the small changes we can all make in our daily lives to reduce our environmental footprint is an important first step in addressing the disastrous effects of climate change.
I was also excited to read that you have partnered with the FSC-certified printer The Lane Press of Burlington, Vt., the city I now call home. I am proud of the State of Vermont and the many individuals and businesses here who are hard at work in the fight against climate change. It’s great to see that my alma mater has recognized one of them.
