Chris Fecko ’98
Chris Fecko ’98 recently became the program manager for the Solar Photochemistry program at the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science, the lead federal agency responsible for promoting fundamental research in energy science. Fecko will manage 12 of the 46 Energy Frontier Research Centers, each of which strives to discover new technologies that enable advances in energy production and use. A chemistry and physics major, Fecko received a Ph.D. in physical chemistry at MIT where he studied condensed-phase systems with ultrafast spectroscopy. He conducted postdoctoral research in biophysics at Cornell University and was a faculty member in the chemistry department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
