Construction Update as of June 5, 2001

WORK AREAS:

• Demolition work will start at the new temporary entrance at the north side of Dupont on Thursday, 7 June.
• Floor tile removal will begin in the large Dupont Lecture Hall restrooms on Tuesday, 12 June.

UTILITY SHUTDOWNS:

• The heating and hot water loop will be shutdown at the north Dupont entrance area on Thursday, 14 June.

PEDESTRIAN / VEHICULAR ACCESS:

• No impact anticipated during this period.
• The exit to the exterior via the stair at the north end of Dupont Research Wing will be limited to Emergency exit only, due to construction activities outside. Signs will be posted at all doors in the stair tower beginning 13 June.

NOISE, VIBRATION, DUST:

• The exterior concrete wall at the north Dupont entrance will be sawcut on 7 June. There will be noise and vibration generated in the immediate vicinity.

CONSTRUCTION DELIVERIES / HEAVY EQUIPMENT ON SITE:

• None anticipated during this period.
