Dr. Garikai Campbell

Garikai Campbell graduated from Swarthmore College in 1990 and went on to earn his PhD at Rutgers University. He returned to Swarthmore as a minority scholar in residence fellow in 1997 and subsequently became an assistant professor, and recently associate professor, in the department of mathematics and statistics.

Professor Campbell's main area of expertise is the computational study of certain equations that have special algebraic and geometric properties. In particular, the primary focus of his research is finding elliptic curves of large rank and related problems.
